Start Thinking With Your Crotch
By Jeremy Cohen. Sure, you may prattle on in mixed company about how silly it is for guys to want a bigger penis, but let’s face facts: Given the chance, you’d probably be first in line for a John Holmes-sized member. Of course, we’re talking hypothetical here – for those who lack the cash for pumps and the stomach for surgery, wanting a larger rod really doesn’t amount to much more than wishful thinking.
But lo and behold – it turns out wishful thinking might actually be all you need to gain those extra inches. MindQuest, Inc., the brainchild of a husband-and-wife hypnotherapist team from New York City, has developed a Penile Enhancement Program that purports to help the modestly endowed through hypnotherapy.
Yep, you heard right: By doing nothing more than listening to special audiotapes for 12 weeks – no pills, operations, movements, foods, creams or lotions – your Johnson can theoretically go from miniscule to colossal. Penis enlargement is just the latest problem that Gregory and Laurie Gregg Straub (the couple in question) have undertaken: Their previous offering was the much-hyped Breast Enhancement Program, and MindQuest has also targeted athletic performance, weight loss, body contouring and quitting smoking as tasks that can be aided through hypnotherapy.
In order to understand how all this is supposed to work, let’s start off with a basic definition: Hypnosis is a tool used by a hypnotherapist (cast aside your stereotypes of cape-wearing stage performers) to induce deep relaxation and make a person more susceptible to suggestion. Once in this trancelike state, the person is able to communicate with the subconscious mind. Contrary to popular belief, a person under hypnosis is completely aware of his surroundings during the session and remembers everything afterwards.
So far so good, but what’s any of this have to do with penis enlargement? Well, MindQuest maintains a person under hypnosis can exert influence over the hypothalamus – the part of the brain that controls neurotransmitters responsible for hormonal levels and, by extension, blood flow. Because the penis is comprised of soft, spongy tissue (not muscle, as men sometimes think), MindQuest theorizes that increasing blood flow to the area will result in a bigger schlong. To that end, the audiotape program is designed to help you remove subconscious blocks to your penile development that may’ve been erected during puberty. The 20-minute tapes feature a combination of music and narration by Laurie Gregg Straub.
And now, the million-dollar question: Exactly what sort of growth are we talking about? MindQuest claims its clients have increased the length of their penis up to two-and-a-half inches, as well as “substantially in circumference.” Even if such a dramatic transformation isn’t in the cards for you, never fear: They claim every guy can add at least an inch, with improvements visible by the third or fourth week. And yes, the change is permanent.
Understandably, this sounds too good to be true – and probably a bit dubious – but it’s worth pointing out that MindQuest does lay some claim to medical validity. More than two decades ago, Richard D. Villard, M.D., of the Institute of Behavioral and Mind Sciences, performed an experiment similar in method to the Straub’s Breast Enhancement Program. As reported in the American Journal of Hypnosis, 85 percent of Willard’s female volunteers reported significant enlargement of their breasts after 12 weeks. Though no similar precedent yet exists with the Penile Enhancement Program, Willard’s study certainly doesn’t hurt MindQuest’s credibility any (neither does the money-back guarantee, for that matter).
If you’re still hesitant, however, you may do well to keep this in mind: When the other alternatives are getting you penis cut open like Vienna sausage or sticking it in something that looks like a cross between a bong and a bicycle pump, does hypnotherapy really sound all that bad?
